And that's the last party I'll have to organise till Renee turns 21! Phew! Was pretty stressed two weeks prior to last Saturday, trying to source a venue (headache and couldn't sleep), getting RSVPs and picking a cake appropriate for my little Rascal.
Anyway, I think everything went smoothly and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. As usual, there was lots of presents and ang pows for my little Rascal. Renee has already ripped open 2 of the presents and declared them as hers. Ha ha.
Poor thing, I think she felt left out as the cake wasn't for her. Thankfully, my cousin Mary Ann got her a present (her birthday was 2 weeks ago) as well. During the cake cutting, she burst into tears because she wanted to be in front to look at the cake like all the other kids but MIL made her stand behind it so that we could get a family picture. How stressful dealing with a crying toddler when everyone was singing and waiting for the birthday boy to blow the candle! So much chaos that we didn't really get a good picture with Russell. Could only find one....
After the cake was cut and distributed, everything went back to normal, or rather Renee was back to her old self. Here she is with her BFF Emma!
We finally left Olio Dome at around 4pm, the kids fell asleep but the adults had to lug back the presents and leftover food and cake. Oh well, only one 1st birthday party in a lifetime!
