Life is so precious

It's been a rough three weeks. One of my colleagues went to Cameron Highlands during the Christmas break. She came back with the flu, eventually ended up in the ICU for 2 weeks and last week she was finally put in the general ward. We were delighted that she was out of danger but when I went to visit her, I was really shocked that her behaviour was so odd! No smiles, no replies, no acknowledgement that we were there. Just stared blankly. Her sister gave us an update from the doctor and it seems she will take from as little as 2 weeks to as long as 6 months to recover fully. In the meantime, we have had to take on her tasks on top of our usual work load.

Some days, we are able to catch up but very often, we just have to wing it and just endure the day till it is time to go home.

Health is so important and really something we take for granted. Let this be an important reminder for all of us.

Renee's 1st day at Catholic Kindergarten

Everyone was so excited. Renee was bouncing off the sofa, making it so difficult for MIL to tie up her hair. The Kindergarten is non-aircon so it is pretty hot and Renee will perspire a lot if we don't at least tie her hair.
All in all, it was a great start as Renee didn't cry, unlike a few of her classmates. They sounded like they were entering the slaughter house. Sooooo poor things man!
