Yeah yeah, I know I've been gone a long while. Been busy trying to get well. I hate it when I am sick cos it takes FOREVER to recover. My MIL was the one who got sick and then passed it to the kids and I am the last victim. It's been 2 weeks plus and I am at the tail end of the cough, the phlegm just refuses to go away. With the kids it is worse cos they will vomit if the coughing gets to violent. And last night that's what happened. Eugene and my FIL ended up cleaning the car till 11.30pm. At that point, the kids were already very tired so we decided to leave them at my inlaws for the night. No point having my inlaws rush over in the morning just a few hours later to come pick them up.
So for the first time in a while, I've had a good solid continuous 6.5 hour sleep. Pathetic hor? 6.5 hr nap and I'm so contented. Ha ha!
Russell started his first lesson at Growing Up Gifted on Sunday and Eugene was the one who accompanied him for the 90 minute lesson while Renee and myself ploughed through Suntec City with my inlaws. Yup, they decided their grandson's first class was a big deal so wanted to follow us. Anyway, according to Eugene there was a 10 minute snack break in which all the kids whipped out their snacks and Russell didn't have anything because I didn't know we were supposed to bring our own snacks!! So poor thing, Eugene said Russell just sat there drinking his water and just observed everyone else tuck in.....anyway, the good thing is that Renee's old teacher from the United Square branch was teaching Russell's class and her name is also RUSSELL!! Teacher Russell. She's a good one and was delighted to see us, "Grandma and Mummy" and she gave us a bow. So sweet!
Will take pictures next week, last week was quite chaotic because we were late and all the rushing meant I didn't have time to whip out my camera......
The kids have been enjoying our daily bed time stories. My friend YY got them this wonderful Eric Carle book and we've been fans ever since. I've been trying to add on to the collection. So far my favorite is The Grouchy Ladybug. The kids also enjoy Dr. Suess tremendously and there are so many out there to purchase! To reward myself for buying books for the kids, I've been buying my own books from the Twilight series. Ha ha!! What logic!!
